Throughout August a tropical storm and hurricane passed over Haiti resulting in heavy rains and winds. USAID/OFDA has allocated $7.5million in humanitarian assistance and the total value of USG humanitarian assistance is $20million. The GOH requested international support for the three phases of relief, recovery and rehabilitation. Lack of access to clean drinking water poses health threats to the affected populations.
