The scarcity of surface waters in the Santa Elena peninsula has created the need for development of underground waters. The NFM/FFH Director in Ecuador with assistance of AID and WASH, has directed the efforts to implement the project of developing underground water for agriculture and human consumption. The current effort deals with the selection of a drilling rig that is adequate for the Project site, availability of operation and maintenance technicians and an assessment of the need for technical assistance.
