This manual contains 3 types of documents: resource documents prepared by speakers, background papers/checklists/worksheets and case studies, and appendices consisting of a series of abstracts, lists of lenders, and reference from contact on planning rural water supplies. The workshop sessions on water supply and sanitation were designed to facilitate participation in the analysis of problems associated with planning, implementation, and evaluation of water supply and sanitation projects and in the formulation of approaches to those problems.
