It is estimated that the total fish catch in the Philippines needs to increase over 25% to meet the current minimum needs of the population. This document identifies fishing improvement techniques in brackish water and fresh water to increase fish production in the country. The proposed method to improve fish production is by a cooperative fishery project through USAID and Auburn University to provide basic knowledge and training to necessary personnel.
