EVALUATES USAID ASSISTANCE TO THE GOVT OF THE PHILIPPINES FROM 7/1/66-7/31/66 TO UNDERTAKE SURVEYS AND STUDIES PREPARATORY TO THE FORMULATION OF COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS FOR THE NATION'S SEVEN MAJOR RIVER BASINS. A DOCUMENT OUTLINING BASIC PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES RECOMMENDED BY THE US BUREAU OF RECLAMATION TEAM FOR CONDUCTING WATER RESOURCES SURVEYS WAS TRANSMITTED TO THE GOP BUREAU OF PUBLIC WORKS ON 7/7/66. THE CAGAYAN AND COTABATO BASIN REPORTS ARE IN FINAL REPRODUCTION AND DRAFT REPORTS ON AGUSAN, BICOL AND ILOG-HILABANGAN ARE UNDERWAY. THE FEASIBILITY REPORT ON THE UPPER PAMPANGA RIVER WILL BE READY FOR FINAL REPRODUCTION 8/10/66. THE DRAFT OF A PRELIMINARY REPORT ON THE CENTRAL LUZON BASIN HASBEEN DISTRIBUTED.
