World Vision
In order to assess the sustainability of Hilton-funded systems with respect to functionality, water safety, and level of service, the Hilton Foundation partnered with Water and Sanitation for Africa (WSA), an African NGO that was not involved in implementing earlier Hilton projects, to conduct a follow-up assessment of 1,500 water points in 520 communities in the Greater Afram Plains (GAP) region of Ghana. WSA conducted this work in partnership with Water for People, a US-based NGO with a novel mobile data collection platform call FLOW (field-level operations watch). WSA also partnered with local Ghanaian universities and government agencies, as well as international consultants, to develop and administer surveys and to conduct testing of boreholes and water quality samples. This is the project report.
