CEU's: 0.2 This lesson will guide you through the methods used to properly size water pipe. All relevant Code sections of the 2009 UPC will be addressed. At the end of the lesson, you will be able to: (1) Calculate the total fixture units in a building. (2) Determine the distance from the meter to the most remote outlet in the system. (3) Factor in the elevation above the meter to highest cold water outlet in the system. (4) Use the available pressure at peak demand to determine the correct water pipe size for a given diagram.
