The Guyana Small Farm Development Project is AID's portion of a jointly financed project in the Black Bush area of Guyana. The global project proposes to rehabilitate an existing rice irrigation system and extend it so rice can be double cropped on some 75,000 acres. The AID component will include provision of all consulting services and the technical assistance and inputs necessary to improve crop yields. This report refers only to the land and farm development and water management phases of the AID project.
