The purpose of this report is to describe findings by its authors during a three-week, on-site survey of Indonesia to explain the advantages of the AID pump to AID and Indonesian government officials, to estimate local costs for manufacturing the AID pump in comparison with costs of purchasing existing locally available pumps (both locally manufactured and imported), to determine whether or not a market exists in Indonesia for the AID pump, and if capabilities exist in that country for local manufacturing to satisfy the market.
