U.S. Department of the Interior | Bureau of Reclamation
This is an “open source” software tool developed by the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) and the contractor Anderson Engineering for the Hydropower Resource Assessment at Existing Reclamation Facilities Report , and it has been made available for public use. This tool is a model that allows interested parties to conduct reconnaissance level hydropower assessments with minimal data inputs (location, flow and head). It is important to recognize that the tool has been developed using broad power and economic criteria, and it is only intended for preliminary assessments of potential hydropower sites. This tool cannot take the place of a detailed hydropower feasibility study. There are no warranties, express or implied, for the accuracy or completeness of or any resulting products from the utilization of the tool.
