The new PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) strategy calls for a comprehensive, multisectoral approach that expands access to prevention, care, and treatment in ways that promote sustainable country programs. This resources provides an outline of quick, easy ways to integrate sanitation into existing PEPFAR programs along with the rationale for doing so. In addition, this document provides some examples of how countries have integrated sanitation into their HIV programming. Guidelines and tools are available as annexes.
