Kabul Municipality's Department of Sanitation is the primary body responsible for solid waste removal, drainage, and maintenance of public toilets within Kabul city limits. The legal basis for the Municipality's authority in this area resides in the 2000/1397 Law on Municipalities; this policy directs the department to accomplish the specified goals and objectives of the Department.
