The proposals presented in these New Guidelines for the National Fishery Policy for Guinea-Bissau are the result of a study commissioned by the Trade andInvestment Promotion Support, funded by USAID-Bissau. The preliminary document was discussed and enriched with contributions and suggestions from several fishery technicians from the private sector and from government agencies, and experts from diversified sectors of thenational economy. Hopefully, the final product of that exchange of ideas will be transformed into an Action Plan to guide the carrying out of those proposals.
