As a member of a consortium of U.S. universities dedicated to providing assistance for increasing world food production through optimum utilization of water resources for agriculture, the University of Arizona has concentrated its activities on those concerned with the source of the water supply. Operators of water resource systems are faced with increasingly difficult decisions to overcome the physical, economic and social problems which characterizes man's never-ending battle against aridity, flood, drought and pollution.
