In response to a request by the Government of Peru and under the sponsorship of USAID, a study was conducted from August 26 to September 20, 1974 on the trout fisheries of the central and southern mountain lakes of Peru. The objectives were to provide the Ministry of Fisheries with recommendations for developing a realistic program of stocking, management and harvest of these lakes.
