The project, which is further described in Annex 1, consists of the renovation of an existing desalination plant in order to provide, at a reduced per unit operating cost, a reliable supply of potable water to the city of Mindelo on Sao Vicente Island. The project will also make available technical assistance and training in plant operations and maintenance.
