The University of Dar es Salaam hosted a conference on marine resources development as a major step toward founding a center for marine resources at the university which would provide essential research, advice and personnel needed for the development of Tanzanian marine resources and which could have strong co-operative ties with universities in Kenya and Uganda with EAMFRO.
