The greatest change from the fisheries and agricultural standpoint in Thailand is the rapid increase in impoundment of floodwater is reservoirs for use in irrigation. Several reservoirs are presently constructed with many others planned on all rivers to provide water for irrigation which will have the effect of reducing the area normally flooded and will reduce the fish crop from this source.
