This document is a review of operation and maintenance of System B Irrigation Facilities of the Maduru Oya Project in Sri Lanka. The purpose of this inspection was to review the O&M procedures, policies and practices of system B and to recommend modifications to improve practices to ensure effective O&M to prolong the life of the canal network and minimize recurrent O&M costs.
