World Relief's Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Program (RWSSP) was a direct follow on from the 1992193 Emergency Water Supply lntervention on (EWSI) along the Limpopo Corridor in response to a continued severe shortage of water in the districts of northern Gaza It sought ultimately to provide communities with access to clean secure water sources by drilling further boreholes and installing manual pumps that were sustainable in the long term and to expose the population to water sanitation and health messages which made the link between maintaining a clean water source, good sanitation and hygiene practices and good health.
