This study was conducted as part of the Water Management Synthesis Project, a program funded and conducted by USAID. The key project objective is to provide services in irrigated regions of the world for improving design and operation of existing and future irrigation projects and give guidance to USAID for selecting and implementing development options and investment strategies.
