The Tuul River Basin Report Card, the first of its kind in Mongolia, assesses the basin's health through social, environmental and economic values that can be tracked over time in response to management actions and/or external pressures. Although much research has been conducted on the water quality and quantity of the Tuul River, there is no uniform or consistent assessment on the state of the basin. Thus, this report card provides the first consolidated baseline assessment of the health of the basin inclusive of social, environmental and economic values that can be tracked over time in response to management actions and/or external pressures. Report card outputs will also contribute data and information towards meeting Mongolia's Sustainable Development Goals, and supporting implementation of the Mongolia Sustainable Development Vision 2030 (WWF Description and Introduction).
