Provides a common geofabric for relating information to water. The NHDPlus has been developed in the U.S. at the 1:100,000 scale and is based on the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD). The NHDPlus add additional attributes to the NHD that are useful for hydrologists and other water managers. Some key attributes include 'catchments' (or small watersheds) for each segment in the NHD, land use statistics, estimated flow, stream slope, and many other additional attributes.
