There have been eighty-eight Town Halls to date. The eighty-eighth was held in Prescott on April 9-12, 2006, and addressed 'Arizona's Rapid Growth and Development: Natural Resources and Infrastructure.' The implications of growth and development have a profound effect on all Arizonans. The pace of change brought about by growth and development is accelerating and presents opportunities and challenges that are fundamentally reshaping our state. This Town Hall addressed Arizona's explosive growth and development from the perspectives of our state's natural resources and infrastructure. Chapter 4 of this Background Report deals with water issues presented by population growth and examines strategies for assuring water supply and quality.
