This booklet is not a detailed guide for hands-on training. It merely suggests the types of exercises that the instructor can use to help the student (farmer or technician) learn the applicable irrigation principles and practices presented in its companion training manual, Water Management for Small Farms: A Training Manual for Farmers in Hill Areas. To use the instructor's guide effectively, the instructor should already have training and experience in the principles covered in the training manual.
