Between May 25 through May 30,1992, members of the New York City Department of Sanitation (DOS) visited the city of Bucharest in Romania, on an activity sponsored by the World Environment Center. The purpose of the trip was to assess and make recommendations for improvements on the municipal solid waste facilities and management practices in Bucharest.
