This report presents background information about the landfill site, describes current waste management operations in the Kingdom of Jordan as well as those in Aqaba, and provides other relevant background information. It also describes treatment and disposal alternatives for Aqaba City's municipal solid waste (MSW) stream, evaluates these alternatives against established criteria, and recommends a subset of alternatives for both disposal and treatment.
