The Government of Sri Lanka has asked USAID/SRI Lanka for assistance in the preparation of a comprehensive plan for expanded activities in the water supply and sanitation sector during the International Decade for Drinking Water and Sanitation. The Government has prepared a Draft Plan which was reviewed at a national workshop in Colombo. That review indicated that a considerable amount of work is required in the development of the plan. The purpose of this consultation, requested by USAID/Sri Lanka, was to develop the scope of work for the assistance requested by the Government of Sri Lanka.
