This study was performed by USAID as contracted with the Soil Conservation Service for technical services and feasibility studies for a sprinkler irrigation system and cropping plan for the establishment of two cattle dairy farms in Syria. These plans call for the establishment of forage crops and irrigation systems for sustaining these crops. These proposed cattle stations are located in different climatic zones and will utilize water from different sources. The objective of this study was to provide basic irrigation plans and cropping systems to supply the needed foodstuffs for the planned dairy cattle.
