This report traces the development of a 7 hectare groundwater demonstration plot in the village of Pukdale, Timor, NIT throughout the first year of its existence. P2AT provided a new irrigation system to enable farmers to grow palawija (secondary) crops during the dry season. The new system includes a 50 meter tube well on which a diesel-powered centrifugal pump has been installed as well as 600 meters of concrete-lined irrigation canals.
