The Project will support the expansion and development of sustainable and replicable water and/or wastewater facilities in selected urban population centers in Egypt. The Project will include (a) assistance to identify and implement reforms necessary for local water/wastewater authorities to achieve institutional autonomy and financial viability, and (b) assistance to design and construct water/wastewater infrastructure. Construction in each locality will be conditioned upon the satisfactory implementation of agreed upon reforms.
