The key findings of this assessment from Egypt are; -Technical training in the Ministry has been largely limited to professional civil engineers, and technicians -Prior to 1982, engineers were trained by their supervisors through an informal on the job training process. - Top management of the Ministry recognizes the importance of training and would like to give it high priority for future planning. -The Ministry took a major step forward toward developing an organized training program for the Ministry when it established a Manpower Development and Training Unit.
